Ahoy, ye scurvy dogs!
Beauregaarrrrd, the Fabulous Golden Fleece of Ramsgaarrrd, is off on another mad adventure!
At first we heard that he and his Guaarrrrrdian, Zarah Loba, had been captured by pirates while searching for booty (he really loves booty…), but since then word has reached us that they have actually taken command of a ship and Beau is now the most feared ram on the high seas, and is known as Goldenbeard! His lust for plunder and booty are rampant and unchecked!
What Ramsgaarrrd needs is a talented scallywag to rein in Beauregaarrrd and bring him home. Are you wily sea-dogs up to the challenge? The prestige of this title is one that any pirate worth their parrot would give both their wooden legs for!
The competition to be become the new Ram’s Guaarrrrdian is, as usual, a matter of multiple separate tests, including:
- Thrown Weapons – fling sharp objects!
- Archery – propel pointy sticks!
- Armoured Combat – send yer foes to Davy Jones’ Locker!
- Rapier Combat – buckle yer swash!
- Arts and Sciences – craft an eyepatch!
- The Bardic Arts – sing a sea shanty or spin a tale to delight the landlubbers
- Heraldry – of a sort
- And last and most certainly least, the infamous Quiz Game!
Earn points for each category you enter – earn more points if you place in the top three! Whoever has the most points will earn the prestigious position of Ram’s Guaardian… and treasure!
If ye be havin’ any questions, contact the Event Team:
- Chief Shenaanigatorrr Vlad will help ye with the competitions—with Eilif’s help herding the Bards!
- Galley Chief Màiri and her crew be serving up the grub!
- Event Steward Sibán be pleased to help with any other queries.
Finally, we know that there is an An Tir event that weekend, but for those bilge rats among ye who do not have Letters of Marque to sail the southern seas (i.e. do not wish to cross the US border), ye all can come up to Ramsgaarrrd and get your buccaneer on!
